 Bainbridge Gardens’ historic Nature Trail will be glowing with a grand display of nearly 300 lighted, carved pumpkins!  Join in on the family fun and enjoy winding through our Harvest Hay Maze and jumping in the inflatable Bounce House.  You can have your picture taken with the “Great Pumpkin” (he gives out candy too!) or tap your toes to live music from “Kitsap Konnection”
The Bainbridge Island Boys and Girls Club provides face painting and carnival games with prizes.
Food and beverages are available for purchase from the New Rose Café.

History on the Move– A scavenger Hunt on Wheels!

Saturday, October 7th | 1-5pm

Cost $100 per vehicle*

Set off for an afternoon of solving clues that takes your team to 8 pitstops around the island.  At each location, there will be challenges for you to win extra points!  Besides finding the pitstops you will be asked to discover artifacts along the way.

After the hunt there will be food trucks, classic car show and live music by Songbird.  What a fun event for all ages -a great way to help our local history museum and learn about Bainbridge Island!

Critical Areas Ordinance Update

On October 3, a Public Hearing will be held on the City’s 2017 Critical Areas Ordinance Update. One of the changes to highlight involves new regulations for critical aquifer recharge areas. To support the City’s Comprehensive Plan land use concept and maximize aquifer recharge opportunities, the entirety of Bainbridge Island outside of Designated Centers is designated as critical aquifer recharge areas.  Designated Centers include Downtown/Winslow Center, Business/Industrial areas, Rolling Bay Center, Island Center, and Lynnwood Center. Proposed critical aquife recharge area regulations include designation and protection of native vegetation as part of development or redevelopment on properties within critical aquifer recharge areas.
