What to do with your tree? Recycle it!

Support your local Boy Scout Troop 1564 by letting us recycle your Christmas Tree for a donation. Each year we provide this service to the community as our only fundraising event by our troop.

One day a year we collect trees from all Bainbridge Island addresses that have made a reservation. Take off the ornaments, stand, and lights from your tree after the holidays and put the tree to the curb for recycling. Scouts will pick up your tree between 8am and 4pm and recycle it into mulch. We cannot take wreaths, flocked trees, or artificial trees.

Tree recycling is both a community service and a fundraising event for our troop. We suggest a donation of $15 for the pickup service.

Christmas Tree Recycling

Tree Pickup Boy Scout Troop 1654 will collect and recycle your Christmas tree for a donation of $10-$15. Troops fan out across Bainbridge on Saturday, January 9th, collecting trees from homes that have registered online or via phone. Pickup is available even if you live in an apartment or condominium, though in the latter cases, please contact your complex manager for more information.

To register your home for pickup, visit http://treerecycle.net and use the form to request a reservation. From there, you may pay online, or attach cash or check to a Ziploc bag on your tree before leaving it to be picked up. Please leave your tree outside no later than 8am Saturday morning.

All donations are used to fund Boy Scout outings, camps, and expenses.

No wreath pickups allowed, as only wood can go through the chipper. Pickup is for Bainbridge Island residents only.
